Job description
Role Overview
The Lead Curriculum Specialist will be responsible for leading the design, development, and enhancement of curriculum materials related to early childhood education. This includes creating comprehensive full qualification courses, redeveloping existing courses, and developing continuing professional development (CPD) short courses endorsed by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide researched insights to the Curriculum & Programmes (C&P) team, focusing on skill gaps and sector developments.
- Design module documentation, including assignment guidelines, assessment rubrics, session plans, slide decks, scopes of work, and reading resources.
- Coordinate peer reviews with faculty during material development.
- Develop e-learning content to support technology-enhanced learning.
- Create and manage unique test banks with multiple variations.
- Facilitate unpacking sessions to explain course content.
- Review and update existing courses by incorporating relevant new information and communicating changes to stakeholders.
- Develop proposals for CPD courses for ECDA endorsement and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) funding.
- Engage with external vendors on material development for CPD.
- Lead quality assurance activities including benchmarking exercises, moderation with lecturers, teaching observations, course evaluations, audits, and collaborative curriculum reviews.
- Deliver teaching sessions for full qualification and CPD courses as required.
- Manage smaller-scale projects and provide editorial and administrative support as assigned, including assisting with admissions and language testing.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years teaching experience in early childhood settings with proven leadership roles in curriculum development.
- Experience creating curricula for early childhood teacher education.
- Familiarity and proficiency with educational technology to enhance curriculum delivery.
Additional Information
