Role Summary
We seek entry-level Laboratory Technicians to join our Auckland Microbiology division. We consider permanent full-time and fixed-term contracts. The role may require shift work on afternoons or weekends.
Core duties involve supporting daily operations related to reception and precise testing of food, dairy, meat, and environmental samples in compliance with client requirements and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct sample processing and testing accurately within required time and temperature thresholds.
- Manage storage and inventory of tested samples, ensuring preservation of sample integrity.
- Adhere to high standards of laboratory practice to deliver exceptional service quality.
- Follow company Quality and Procedures manuals and comply with relevant accreditation criteria.
- Maintain equipment and laboratory environment in optimal condition.
- Promote a positive, safe, and professional workplace aligned with Health and Safety regulations.
- Participate actively in ongoing process improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in a scientific field or equivalent experience is preferred, though part-time students may also be suitable.
