Overview
Paperless Post is looking for a Junior to Mid Level Graphic Designer with 1 to 3+ years of professional experience who has solid skills in illustration and design principles. This individual should have a versatile skill set and an aesthetic that balances sophistication with playfulness. The role involves crafting visually compelling event pages and invitations that serve millions of users during meaningful occasions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Create original visual content for Paperless Post's platforms including web and applications, as well as branded channels like blogs and social media.
- Collaborate closely with Senior Art Director to develop assets for partnership initiatives and help launch partner collections, either from scratch or by adapting partner-provided materials.
- Develop cutting-edge design elements including original and curated content such as stickers, text treatments, templates, and effects for the newest platform.
- Engage with a cross-functional team including Art Directors, Designers, and Production Designers to contribute throughout all stages from concept to deployment.
- Participate actively in brainstorming sessions, design critiques, and discussions to foster creative growth.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- A Bachelor of Fine Arts or similar design-related degree, or equivalent 1-3+ years experience in graphic design or illustration.
- Expertise in illustration, design, and animation across diverse media and styles, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop, plus foundational knowledge of After Effects; fluency in After Effects is advantageous.
- Experience with traditional mediums such as watercolor, pen & ink, and gouache.
- Motivated to continually enhance your illustration and design skillset.
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven setting, managing multiple concurrent projects efficiently.
- Highly proactive with a knack for developing fresh ideas and maintaining productivity.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate your creative approach relative to project objectives to team members.
- Open to taking art direction and feedback, adapting to various perspectives.
- Eager to collaborate positively, generously sharing time and knowledge.
- Additional skills that add value include type design, lettering, studio photography, stop motion animation, prop styling for photo shoots, and 3D modeling.

Compensation and Benefits
