Role Overview
As a Junior Retail Operations Manager, you will oversee the entire operational process from retail deal closure through to successful delivery. Your key role is to ensure flawless coordination and accuracy across retail orders, product data, inventory systems, and logistics partners. You will troubleshoot discrepancies and proactively follow up on missing information to keep orders moving without delay.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full operational cycle of retail and B2B orders including deal closure to delivery completion.
- Assure seamless order progress through retail channels, Xentral system, and logistics provider.
- Maintain accuracy of product information, pricing, SKUs, and EAN codes in systems such as Markant and Atrify.
- Detect and resolve any data inconsistencies, synchronization errors, or delivery issues before they impact customers or partners.
- Actively obtain missing data and push back against incomplete inputs threatening deadlines.
- Coordinate closely with Supply Chain on stock levels, purchase orders, and production scheduling.
- Contribute to documenting and enhancing scalable processes targeting a delivery rate exceeding 95% on time.
- Report to the Head of Supply Chain Management as a member of the Supply Chain Team.
Desired Profile
- Up to two years’ experience in fast-paced sectors such as retail, FMCG, food, e-commerce, or scale-ups.
- Practical experience handling master data, product files, price lists, or other structured datasets requiring high accuracy.
- Competent in intermediate to advanced Excel or Google Sheets usage.
- Basic understanding of retail/logistics concepts like SKUs, EANs, and pallets.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized amid shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Proactive communication skills with confident follow-up and ownership to fully resolve issues.
- Fluent English at C1 level and minimum German B1 level.
- Willingness to work primarily from the Berlin office with two fixed on-site days weekly; relocation support available.
