Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior Business Analyst to provide comprehensive operational, administrative, and technical assistance for a complex SD-WAN deployment project based in Toronto. This contract role requires collaboration with the Project Manager, telecommunications vendors, and ITFS field technicians to oversee network rollouts at multiple sites throughout the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the SD-WAN Project Manager by coordinating project activities, timelines, and key deployment milestones.
- Organize site surveys, equipment relocations, and installations in coordination with telecommunications providers such as Bell and Rogers alongside ITFS field technicians.
- Communicate directly with Bell and Rogers technicians to confirm installation schedules and facilitate contact exchange with ITFS teams to ensure smooth installations.
- Keep project documentation current by managing installation master lists, circuit data, and other relevant tracking records.
- Develop, sustain, and update Power BI dashboards to reflect project progress and status reports.
- Identify and resolve site-specific deployment and connectivity challenges by determining root causes and involving appropriate internal teams, vendors, or service providers.
- Serve as a communication bridge between project stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to enhance collaboration and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain tracking of circuit details, installation timelines, and project dependencies to promote timely delivery.
- Report regularly to project leadership and stakeholders on status updates.
- Offer support to other projects within the Technology Planning team as availability permits.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 3 to 5 years of practical network experience with demonstrated hands-on skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with vendor management and technical subject matter experts.
- Experience in coordinating project management tasks such as issue tracking and record updates.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
- Familiarity with telecommunications companies Bell and Rogers, and experience interfacing with ITFS field technicians.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working within the public sector is considered an advantage.
Additional Information
This position is based in Toronto and requires a hybrid work arrangement including travel to various locations within the GTHA. The contract duration is from August 17th, 2026 to February 16th, 2027.
