Overview
We are seeking three Junior Business Analysts to join our team on a 12-month contract basis in Toronto, Ontario. These roles focus on supporting the Agency's Electronic Health Record (EHR) Onboarding workstream and related digital health service access initiatives. The analysts will work closely with the existing methodology to validate Health Information Custodian (HIC) details, verify legal statuses, categorize clinician users, and ensure proper authorization of responsible persons before migrating data to the Provincial Clinical Viewer and other digital health platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with end-to-end onboarding and intake processes involving EHR and related digital health services.
- Review and verify the accuracy of submitted documentation and information.
- Map and categorize clinician end users to authorized HIC types appropriately.
- Authenticate details of legally responsible persons for pre-approval purposes.
- Keep detailed records of requests, issues, and ongoing statuses.
- Facilitate communication and follow-ups with various stakeholders.
- Recognize potential process risks or gaps and escalate them as required.
- Support process documentation efforts and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Solid experience in digital health onboarding or access management.
- Familiarity with provincial clinical viewers or similar Ontario Health digital platforms.
- Strong skills in documentation, coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to operate effectively within highly structured, dynamic operational settings.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and negotiation capabilities.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of PHIPA principles, including consent, data collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal health information.
- General knowledge about the roles and responsibilities of Health Information Custodians and agents as outlined by PHIPA.
- Proven experience in gathering requirements, preparing formal documentation, presentations, and briefing notes, as well as engaging with stakeholders.
