Junior Analyst

Key responsibilities

• Gather, structure, check, and analyze data from several sources.
• Create reports, dashboards, presentations, and concise business updates.
• Spot trends, irregularities, patterns, and improvement opportunities in datasets.
• Support research work, market analysis, and evaluation of business performance.
• Track KPIs and operational metrics on an ongoing basis.
• Assist with forecasting, planning, and strategy-related decisions.
• Keep databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools updated and organized.
• Perform data validation checks to maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand needs and provide analytical support.
• Record methods, workflows, and conclusions from analysis.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts through data-backed recommendations.

Required skills and competencies

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving ability.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and analytical functions.
• Good research skills and the ability to collect relevant information efficiently.

• Comfort working independently as well as as part of a team.
• Interest in learning new analytical tools and business concepts.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• Prior internship exposure, academic projects, research work, or other analytical experience is an added advantage.
• Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, or similar tools is beneficial.
• Experience in reporting, business intelligence, or performance analysis is preferred.
• Understanding of data visualization and statistical analysis concepts is a plus.
