Overview
The Missing Link is expanding and seeking several IT & Workplace Support Engineers to join their team onsite, supporting a prominent telecommunications organisation in Australia. This role offers a fantastic chance to provide direct support within a large enterprise setting, ensuring smooth technology experiences for end users involving various workplace technologies. Applicants with backgrounds spanning Tech Bar, Deskside Support, End User Computing, Field Services, or general IT Support are encouraged to apply.
Role Details
In this position, you will be embedded onsite as a trusted technology partner for the client’s workforce, delivering real-time support, troubleshooting technical issues, deploying devices and equipment, and helping users maintain productivity. The work schedule involves a fortnightly shift rotation providing coverage from 7:00am to 7:00pm Monday through Friday, with occasional participation in an on-call roster beyond standard hours to meet business needs.

Responsibilities
- Offer deskside and walk-up onsite IT support to end users.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and connectivity issues.
- Handle incident and service request management until resolution.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Assist with onboarding processes, office relocations, and meeting room technology support.
- Oversee device lifecycle tasks including deployment, refresh, and replacement activities.
- Keep asset records, documentation, and knowledge base articles accurate and updated.
- Collaborate with Service Desk teams, vendors, and tech specialists to tackle issues.
- Engage in service improvements, technology deployments, and user adoption programs.
Requirements
- Possession of a Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree in IT or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience in IT support roles such as Deskside Support, Tech Bar, Service Desk, or Workplace Technology.
- Familiarity supporting Windows devices and managing Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for end-user hardware, software, and mobile device issues.
- Proficiency in ITSM tools and working within defined service levels.
- Experience in enterprise environments, managed services, or VIP support is a plus.
Preferred Certifications
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Microsoft Fundamentals (MS-900, AZ-900)
- Microsoft Endpoint Administrator
- Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator
- CompTIA A+
