IT Technician

About the Role

We seek a proactive and customer-oriented IT Technician to join our dynamic support team at Allan Webb. Positioned as the primary contact for internal users, you will ensure smooth functioning of our IT infrastructure while delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to first-line IT support requests via Microsoft Teams chat and email.
• Diagnose and resolve various hardware and software problems efficiently.
• Record and manage support tickets using our IT service management system.
• Provide remote assistance to end users to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Administer the SharePoint environment with a focus on security, compliance, and threat monitoring.
• Update and manage the company website, maintaining security and managing user access.
• Develop and modify SharePoint Flow and Power Automate workflows to suit user needs.
• Refer complex problems to the second line support team when required.
• Document solutions and develop knowledge base articles in alignment with ISO27001 standards.
• Adopt a proactive stance towards resolving persistent technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with all service-level agreements (SLAs) within set deadlines.
• Adhere strictly to ISO27001 processes and maintain accurate documentation throughout.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in IT support or customer service roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Windows desktop and server operating systems.
• Experience using Active Directory, Office 365, and common business applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
• Capability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.

• Preferred qualifications and skills: Experience with SharePoint and Power Automate workflows.
• Good knowledge of WordPress and website administration.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation.
• Relevant degree in IT or equivalent industry experience.

Security Requirements

Candidates must hold or be able to obtain Security Clearance at SC level before appointment.
