Job Overview

Primary Talent Partners is seeking an IT Business Analyst with 0-3 years of experience to join their pharmaceutical client team in Indianapolis, IN. This 16-month contract role has the possibility of extension and focuses on operational and analytical support specifically related to pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment processes. The position is based onsite and requires strong capabilities in data analysis, operational metrics development, and compliance within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the recreation, validation, and upkeep of operational metrics derived from platform usage and pharmacy fulfillment data, enhancing automation and ensuring data precision and quality.
• Maintain data availability and ensure compliance across all dispensing data workflows.
• Develop and deploy operational dashboards accessible to stakeholders within the covered entity.
• Monitor and report on performance metrics to inform decision-making, ensuring updates are accurate and timely.
• Consolidate dispensing and reporting data from multiple sources to facilitate filtering, grouping, and financial reporting requirements.
• Perform detailed analyses using SQL and Excel to evaluate operational performance and identify trends or growth opportunities.
• Convert analytical findings into actionable insights for internal teams and support problem resolution via data-driven collaboration.
• Contribute to documentation related to KPIs and data strategy.
• Manage sensitive protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and covered-entity data governance policies, respecting data separation requirements between manufacturers and covered entities.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, data science, or a related field.
• Proficient with SQL, Excel, and at least one statistical programming language such as Python or R.
• Experience working with healthcare, pharmacy, or claims and dispensing operational data.
• One to three years of professional experience within a HIPAA-covered entity.
• Completion and adherence to all required HIPAA, data privacy, and covered-entity compliance training, with the ability to handle PHI responsibly.

Additional Information

This position offers a pay rate between $60 and $70 per hour under a W2 contract arrangement with no paid time off or benefits, although ACA-compliant supplemental insurance options are available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship and must be able to work on the Primary Talent Partners W2.
