About SiFi

SiFi provides a corporate expense management platform built to help finance and accounting teams control company spending with less friction. It enables businesses to issue payment cards with spending limits and controls so funds are used only for approved business purposes.

Role Overview

This is a senior infrastructure leadership position reporting to the Director of Technology. The role blends people management, operational ownership, and hands-on technical depth across infrastructure and reliability engineering.

The Infrastructure Manager is expected to be an active technical decision-maker, not only an administrative lead. You will participate in architecture choices, join critical incident response when needed, and assess infrastructure options from an engineering perspective. The role carries responsibility for system uptime, secure operations, regulatory alignment with SAMA requirements, and keeping infrastructure costs efficient.

Team Leadership and Culture

  • Guide, coach, and develop the SRE and infrastructure team, with clear growth plans, objectives, and performance standards.
  • Build a team culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and strong engineering quality, aligned with SiFi values such as customer focus, product thinking, and data-led execution.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to ensure the infrastructure layer supports safe and dependable product delivery.

Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering

  • Own infrastructure architecture decisions and contribute directly to the review and design of cloud-native and hybrid solutions that improve scale, security, and performance.
  • Lead the practical design, deployment, and upkeep of resilient cloud and hybrid environments, including deployment pipelines and system hardening activities.
  • Regularly assess architecture and system health to spot risks, bottlenecks, and improvement areas, then convert those findings into executable engineering tasks.
  • Act as the technical authority for infrastructure and DevOps matters, ensuring solutions support the company’s long-term technology direction.

Reliability and Incident Management

  • Define and enforce SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets, and use monitoring, alerting, and automation to keep services performing at target levels.
  • Provide direct technical support during major incidents, including deep troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system restoration as the senior responder when required.
  • Lead production readiness checks, post-incident reviews, and disaster recovery exercises while maintaining business continuity plans.
  • Track reliability outcomes against clear targets, including uptime goals above 99.95%.

Security and Access Control

  • Create and enforce access control processes so system permissions are approved, reviewed regularly, and updated or removed on time.
  • Partner with the Cybersecurity team to keep infrastructure security aligned with internal policies and regulatory obligations.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Make sure infrastructure operations follow SAMA control requirements and act as the main infrastructure point of contact for regulators.
  • Work with Compliance, Risk, and Cybersecurity teams to close audit observations and regulatory findings quickly.
  • Keep compliance records, supporting evidence, and documentation current for audits and inspections.

Cost and Vendor Management

  • Own and optimize spending for infrastructure, systems, and software licenses by identifying savings opportunities through vendor management and efficient usage.
  • Manage relationships with cloud providers, infrastructure vendors, and license suppliers while ensuring service levels and value delivery.

Reporting and Communication

  • Report to the Director of Technology and other stakeholders on service availability, incidents, compliance posture, and infrastructure health.
  • Communicate proactively with internal teams about infrastructure plans, risks, and issue resolution progress.

Experience and Technical Background

This role calls for 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, SRE, or cloud operations, including 3–4 years in a management or senior technical leadership position overseeing infrastructure or SRE teams. Experience in payment systems or financial services infrastructure is preferred.

Technical Requirements

You should bring strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, networking, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible. The role also requires the ability to contribute technically when needed, as well as hands-on experience building and scaling secure, highly available cloud-native and hybrid environments. Familiarity with SRE practices, observability, ITSM, infrastructure and license cost control, and access control implementation is also important.

Leadership and Compliance Strength

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow a strong technical team while remaining credible in engineering discussions. You should also have a solid record of coaching teams on infrastructure and reliability best practices and be comfortable working with regulators and internal compliance teams, including within SAMA-related frameworks.
