Senior Project Manager

Role Overview

An international main contractor is looking for an accomplished Senior Project Manager to take charge of a major 40MW data centre build in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a high-profile assignment, and the ideal candidate will have a strong history of delivering large-scale data centre projects from early stages through final handover within a main contracting setup.

Candidate Profile

The company is seeking a degree-qualified construction professional with solid experience on hyperscale or large data centre developments. You should have personally led at least one data centre project end to end, and you must bring a background working with established main contractors on complex builds involving multiple disciplines.

Key Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related subject.
• Demonstrated delivery experience on hyperscale or large-scale data centre projects.
• At least one fully completed data centre project delivered from initiation to handover.
• Previous experience with reputable main contractors.
• Capability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams on technically demanding projects.
• Strong client-facing ability and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Good command of project controls, scheduling, commercial oversight, quality assurance, and HSE expectations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the end-to-end delivery of a 40MW data centre project, covering mobilisation, commissioning, and handover.
• Lead project staff, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to meet delivery goals.
• Keep the project safe, on schedule, within financial targets, and aligned with quality standards.
• Create and apply execution strategies and delivery programmes.
• Track site progress closely and address risks early to protect milestones.
• Liaise with the client and other key stakeholders across the full project lifecycle.
• Strengthen commercial outcomes and ensure contractual responsibilities are met.
• Supervise testing, commissioning, and final handover processes.
• Guide, coach, and assess the performance of the delivery team.
