Independent Contract Driver - Kerikeri

Opportunity Overview

Woolworths is seeking an Independent Contract Driver on a minimum three-year agreement to facilitate deliveries for their customers in the Kerikeri region. This role operates on an owner-operator basis, allowing contractors to run their own profitable business with growth potential impacted by their customer service excellence. Applicants must purchase a vehicle, with preferential pricing and rates available on select models. Potential exists to manage multiple delivery routes or vehicles for enhanced earnings, supported by a guaranteed base income and additional daily earning opportunities, paid weekly.

Role Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Woolworths eCommerce Logistics to ensure smooth, timely online deliveries.
• Act as the key interface between Woolworths and customers, providing excellent service with each delivery.
• Operate delivery services six days a week covering three cycles daily, working with a relief driver to maintain safe driving practices.
• Engage confidently with store personnel and diverse customers, continually delivering exceptional service.
• Maintain punctual and accurate delivery schedules, thoughtfully addressing any customer issues by escalating unresolved matters to the store or contract managers.
• Ensure orders are safely and efficiently loaded, strictly following food safety standards.
• Build and manage your own team, recruiting additional staff to expand and sustain your business operation.

Candidate Profile

The ideal contractor will be a reliable, energetic individual with a clean full driver’s license held for at least two years and strong local geographical knowledge. An entrepreneurial mindset is critical, ready to launch and grow a business under a trusted national brand.
