Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a Hygiene Operative to strengthen our hygiene standards within the distribution centre located in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. This role offers permanent full-time opportunities with various shift patterns, including five days per week from a seven-day schedule, incorporating at least one weekend day. Additionally, part-time positions are available specifically on Saturdays and Sundays.
Shift Patterns
- Day shift: 6:00 to 14:00
- Late shift: 14:00 to 22:00
- Late shift: 16:00 to 00:00
Main Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks in the warehouse, including emptying bins and managing the waste compactor.
- Gather recyclable materials and operate the bailer.
- Address spillages and trip hazards promptly to maintain safety standards.
- Record and collect data on damages to help minimize waste.
- Maintain the yard area.
- Possessing a Counterbalance forklift licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage is £13.69 for day shifts and £14.85 for afternoon, late, and night shifts. For applicants under 21 years, the pay rates are £10.90 and £12.35 per hour, respectively. Opportunities for overtime are frequently available.
