About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Chiller Technician to join our team in the Oil & Gas industry based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial HVAC chillers and air conditioning systems, ensuring optimal operation within hazardous industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial HVAC chillers and air-conditioning units.
- Conduct both preventive and corrective maintenance procedures on HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose system faults and replace malfunctioning HVAC components.
- Interpret mechanical drawings along with electrical schematics and wiring layouts.
- Troubleshoot 415V control circuits and HVAC systems integrated with PLCs.
- Perform installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning tasks for HVAC systems.
- Adhere strictly to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards and follow permit-to-work protocols.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide support during on-call maintenance.
- Document maintenance activities and prepare reports using MS Office tools.
Requirements
- Completed a full-time diploma in HVAC from a recognized educational institution.
- At least five years of extensive hands-on experience in industrial HVAC maintenance.
- Preferred experience in Oil & Gas plants or working within hazardous industrial environments.
- Proficiency with large chillers, industrial HVAC controls, filtration systems, and PLC interface operations.
- Solid understanding of HVAC principles including thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
- Competence in troubleshooting 415V control circuits.
- Good command of English for communication.
- Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 70% on the HVAC written test to be eligible for an interview.
