Human Resources Generalist

About the Role

This position involves supporting the full range of human resources functions tailored to meet the needs of Aviat Networks across New Zealand and Australia on local, regional, and global levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth execution of HR processes by following established procedures and maintaining high accuracy and timely service delivery.
• Coordinate onboarding for new employees and manage offboarding including exit interview processes.
• Oversee payroll and benefit administration to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Conduct periodic audits of HR data to maintain consistency and integrity across systems.
• Assist in internal and external audits related to HR and payroll and provide prompt responses and detailed clarifications when necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of employment information, flagging any compliance issues.
• Keep employee records up to date and ensure privacy compliance within HR systems and personnel files.
• Support the rollout of regional and global HR projects and initiatives.
• Perform general HR support tasks and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferably holds a bachelor's degree in human resources or administration.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar HR role.
• Highly self-motivated and goal driven with the ability to work independently.
• Proven ability to build trust and demonstrate integrity among colleagues.
• Detail-oriented with precision in task execution.
• Experience with payroll administration processes.
• Previous experience in the telecommunications or IT industry is advantageous.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Position does not require travel.
