Position Overview
This role focuses on supporting the onboarding process for new hires while representing the company's values and ensuring a positive candidate experience. The position is fully remote, requiring availability to support CST or EST time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the initial point of contact for candidates concerning background checks and drug screening procedures, addressing their inquiries thoroughly.
- Represent company values such as People First Commitments, Success, Integrity, Diversity, Inclusion, Safety, Environmental Stewardship, and Customer Service during all interactions.
- Engage internal and external customers by providing prompt, efficient responses to questions and concerns.
- Communicate clearly and thoughtfully both verbally and in writing throughout the hiring process.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of relevant processes to support candidate questions effectively.
- Update candidate profiles with accurate and current information reflecting their status in the hiring process.
- Address and resolve issues raised by candidates and Talent Advisors; escalate complicated matters when necessary.
- Coordinate closely with hiring teams to provide updates on pre-employment activities and ensure timely completion of all pre-boarding steps.
- Oversee pre-employment verifications and maintain engagement during each stage to ensure completion.
- Perform department-specific administrative tasks including research, processing requests, updating standard materials, and preparing documents.
- Deliver excellent customer service to ensure positive experiences for all parties involved.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- At least four years of prior experience in Human Resources or Recruitment, with 1-3 years preferred.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Transportation, or Waste management sectors is a plus but not mandatory.
- French language skills are preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to build and sustain strong working relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to initiate tasks and work independently.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to varied start times to accommodate time zones.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and internet research.
- Strong presentation skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Time management expertise to handle diverse responsibilities efficiently.
- Demonstrated skill in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Analytical mindset and strong customer service focus.
Additional Information
This is a six-month contract position with potential for extension. Candidates must be flexible to work hours that cover CST or EST time zones.
