ఉద్యోగ వివరణ
About the Client
The employer is a long-established international manufacturer with a substantial presence across Asia Pacific, operating plants in several countries. The organisation is recognised for a strong market position, large-scale operations, and ongoing regional investment. More company-specific information will be shared with candidates who advance in the process.
The Opportunity
This position is a senior regional HR leadership role covering the people strategy for manufacturing and supply chain operations across Asia Pacific. You will work closely with regional business leaders on workforce planning, organisation design, talent development, and transformation, while leading HR support across a multi-country, multi-site environment. It is well suited to an experienced HR leader who understands plant operations deeply and can also operate at a strategic level within a global matrix structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and steer the HR strategy for manufacturing and supply chain operations throughout Asia Pacific, ensuring it supports operational and business goals.
- Advise senior leaders on organisation structure, workforce planning, and labour cost control across plants and markets.
- Shape regional talent planning, including leadership depth, succession planning for key plant and functional positions, and capability development.
- Lead change efforts tied to transformation, productivity improvement, and site footprint adjustments.
- Support employee and industrial relations across varied country settings, including unionised environments and collective agreement processes where relevant.
- Oversee regional reward practices such as pay structures, incentive programmes, and market benchmarking for specialist plant and technical roles.
- Promote a workplace culture grounded in safety, engagement, and strong performance.
- Advance HR digitisation and analytics across the region, including workforce and manpower cost reporting.
- Coach and build the capability of country and plant HR teams to strengthen delivery standards across the region.
- Make sure HR policies and practices meet local employment laws as well as global corporate standards.
Requirements
- A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; postgraduate study or IHRP certification would be beneficial.
- 10 to 15 years of steadily progressive HR leadership experience in multinational organisations.
- Significant exposure to manufacturing settings, with direct plant experience; experience across multiple Asia Pacific manufacturing locations is strongly preferred.
- At least 5 years in HR leadership positions, preferably in a matrix organisation.
- Familiarity with markets across Asia Pacific; prior support for North Asia and Southeast Asia operations is an advantage.
- Background in plant start-ups, expansions, or restructuring would be a plus.
- Demonstrated strength in change management and in turning strategy into practical execution plans.
- Strong consulting, coaching, and senior stakeholder management skills; someone who is strategic yet comfortable moving between the shop floor and executive discussions.
- Prepared to travel within the region.
