About Roast Aroma
Roast Aroma is an expanding premium delivery kitchen featuring three culinary specialties: Artisanal Stone-Base Pizza, Continental dishes like Pastas and Rice Bowls, and Indo-Chinese cuisine. We seek a motivated and diligent Cook/Chef skilled at managing high-volume delivery demands while ensuring precise portion sizes and exceptional, consistent food quality within a swift "Prep-to-Pickup" timeframe under 10 minutes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare food items and operate kitchen stations including dough hand-stretching, topping application, and usage of a commercial stone-base pizza oven to create pizzas with perfect crispy, light crusts.
- Manage high-heat wok and pan cooking for Indo-Chinese starters and prepare Continental pastas and fusion rice bowls.
- Maintain mise en place by prepping vegetables, marinating proteins (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian), and readying sauces and pizza bases ahead of peak service hours (12 PM–3 PM and 7 PM–11 PM).
- Work efficiently to meet delivery aggregator timelines by rapidly executing orders.
- Enforce strict portion control and cost management by adhering to recipe standards ensuring uniform weight, taste, and appearance.
- Ensure neat, delivery-safe plating into leak-proof containers and cartons to maintain presentation and avoid spillage.
- Assist in stock tracking using kitchen management software and report shortages promptly.
- Minimize kitchen waste and document ingredient spoilage at shift end.
- Enforce stringent hygiene and safety practices in compliance with FSSAI standards, maintaining cleanliness of all food prep areas and equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of practical cooking experience in busy restaurants, Quick Service Restaurants, or Cloud Kitchens.
- Proven expertise in handling vegetarian and non-vegetarian food preparations across at least two core cuisines: Pizza/Continental or Indo-Chinese.
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen appliances, including stone deck pizza ovens and spiral dough mixers.
- Basic communication skills in Kannada or Hindi to effectively interact with kitchen staff and delivery personnel.
- Ability to maintain composure and organization during peak order volumes, especially in weekend rush periods.
