Role overview
Rotana Hotels is looking for a guest-oriented housekeeping professional to support daily room and public-area upkeep at Park Rotana and Park Arjaan in Abu Dhabi. The role calls for someone who can maintain high cleanliness standards, respond promptly to supervisor instructions, and contribute to a positive guest experience through efficient service and attention to detail.
Key duties
- Collect daily work orders, room keys, and cleaning materials from the supervisor, and record the key handover correctly.
- Carry out cleaning tasks in guest rooms and bathrooms, covering the full range of required housekeeping duties.
- Ensure fire exits and staircases remain free from any blockage at all times.
- Report maintenance issues as soon as they are noticed.
- Remove litter from hallways and walkways.
- Vacuum carpets and upholstered items, dust and wipe furnishings, and clear ashtrays and waste bins.
- Prepare beds and thoroughly clean sinks, bathtubs, toilets, tiles, mirrors, and floors; also polish brass and other metal surfaces.
- Refill bathroom amenities and guest-room supplies.
- Neatly arrange guest toiletries on vanity tops and spot-clean carpets whenever needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in guest corridors, service pantries, and service areas throughout the shift.
- Take room service trays and trolleys away from guest rooms and corridors.
- Coordinate with valet services for guest laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing requests.
Skills and competencies
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a hotel housekeeping environment, able to communicate in English at a good level, and ready to work with a diverse team. The role suits someone who is courteous, dependable, service-driven, and able to stay effective in a busy, high-pressure setting.
Education and experience
A vocational background in hotel housekeeping is preferred. Good English communication skills are considered an advantage.
