Hotel Controller

About the Role

Tullamore Court Hotel, a proud member of The iNUA Hotel Collection renowned as a Great Place to Work, seeks a methodical and commercially aware Hotel Accounts Controller. This role involves managing the hotel's daily financial activities, working closely with the General Manager and the Group Finance team to guarantee precise revenue management, reconciliations, account handling, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and reconcile daily hotel revenue streams, customer payments, and banking transactions.
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer, corporate, and financial records.
• Track outstanding balances and conduct follow-ups on financial account inquiries.
• Handle the processing of invoices, receipts, and other financial paperwork.
• Assist with income auditing, month-end financial close processes, and generate reports.
• Prepare account reconciliations and analyze discrepancies to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with multiple departments including Front Office, Food & Beverage, and Events.
• Provide assistance with payroll data, VAT obligations, audits, and ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Uphold robust financial controls and contribute to the enhancement of finance workflows.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in finance, accounts, or administrative functions is necessary.
• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong organisational capabilities.
• Familiarity with account reconciliation and maintaining financial records.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
• Effective communication skills paired with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Possession of relevant accounting qualifications or ongoing relevant studies is considered advantageous.
