Job description
Job Overview
The Hook Up & Commissioning Technician independently resolves challenges related to the Hook Up & Commissioning (Fabrication) domain, selecting appropriate solutions in line with established procedures and scientific guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing of electrical systems at low, medium, and high voltages according to project specifications.
- Conduct walkthroughs of lines and execute pre-completion checks on systems and subsystems.
- Provide assistance to vendors during specific testing requirements.
- Prepare all necessary materials, tools, and consumables to support commissioning testing activities.
- Ensure availability of red-line markup drawings for operational site use.
- Operate calibrated and certified testing instruments properly.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, productivity, and adhere strictly to business conduct codes.
- Monitor, inspect, and document preservation activities to ensure compliance.
- Report preservation status to the Preservation Coordinator as required.
Qualifications
- Completion of high school education.
- At least one year of experience working on oil and gas construction projects.
- Preferably former PTMI personnel experienced with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of Subsea Production Systems (SPS) and Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings.
