About the Role
Iceland Foods is seeking dedicated Home Delivery Drivers to join their team in Derby, England. This role involves delivering groceries directly to customers, serving as a friendly and professional representative of Iceland. The position offers an hourly wage of £13.71 and a range of benefits including a 15% employee discount, optional healthcare plans, Grocery Aid support, Christmas vouchers, and at least 28 days of holiday.
Key Responsibilities
- Load delivery vans safely, ensuring proper manual handling and lifting.
- Follow all safe driving standards and practices to guarantee road safety.
- Conduct routine van inspections before starting deliveries.
- Ensure all food items are delivered to customers in excellent condition.
- Deliver exceptional customer service during each delivery.
- Assist with store duties when required to support the team.
- Work independently, managing time effectively to complete routes efficiently.
- Be flexible to work varying shifts that can start as early as 6am and as late as 11pm.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a valid full driving license held for a minimum of three years with no more than six penalty points.
- Exhibit a positive, approachable attitude with a passion for providing outstanding customer experiences.
- Be punctual and capable of meeting deadlines reliably.
- Maintain a strong understanding and awareness of road safety regulations.
