About the Role

Barza Consulting is collaborating with a premier financial institution in Dubai to recruit a Head of Technology. This pivotal leadership role requires a seasoned technology executive dedicated to propelling digital transformation, enhancing technology capabilities, and delivering secure, innovative, and scalable tech solutions that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement the organization's technology strategy in harmony with business goals.
• Oversee enterprise-wide technology operations including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, cloud services, and digital transformation efforts.
• Champion innovation, operational efficiency, and ongoing technology enhancement throughout the company.
• Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing technology teams, promoting a collaborative and improvement-focused culture.
• Establish strong technology governance, risk management practices, regulatory adherence, and information security protocols.
• Manage budgets related to technology, maintain vendor relationships, and nurture strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership and business units to deliver technology-driven business outcomes.
• Assess and apply new technologies to optimize operational effectiveness and enhance customer experience.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 15 years of advancing leadership experience in technology, especially within banking or financial services.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale digital transformation and technology modernization projects.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data governance, and emerging tech trends.
• Experience overseeing significant technology operations and managing diverse, high-performing teams.
• Exceptional strategic planning, leadership capabilities, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Deep understanding of technology governance, risk protocols, regulatory compliance, and info security frameworks.
• Capability to synchronize technology direction with business priorities and achieve tangible business results.
