General Mechanic

Job Overview

As a General Mechanic at Hilton, you will play a vital role supporting the comfort and safety of Guests and collaborating seamlessly with fellow Team Members. This role demands a combination of technical skill, strong work ethic, and exceptional communication within a dynamic hospitality environment. Ideal candidates bring previous experience in hotels or comparable settings such as ships, hospitals, or retail, alongside a mechanical trade certification and up-to-date knowledge of maintenance and engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Quickly address maintenance requests made by Guests and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain detailed shift log books documenting incidents and activities during assigned shifts.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance duties with thorough documentation to uphold equipment performance.
• Promptly respond to emergency situations including leaks, fires, and power failures to protect property and occupants.
• Follow directives from the Assistant Director of Engineering or Duty Foreman accurately and completely.
• Support the installation and setup of new mechanical equipment when necessary.
• Maintain work areas clean and secure throughout task execution to uphold safety and aesthetics.
• Carry out additional relevant duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and multitasking capabilities.
• Adapt proactively to evolving operational needs dictated by industry practices or company policies.
