General Manager - Chicago

Overview

The General Manager (GM) at TITLE Boxing Club Chicago - Lincoln Park leads all sales, fitness, and operational activities to ensure outstanding member experiences, foster a collaborative team environment, and drive the club's financial success. This role involves comprehensive management and development responsibilities, encompassing resource planning, scheduling, performance evaluation, goal setting, and exemplary customer service while acting as the definitive brand ambassador.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead membership sales efforts by setting an example for the team.
• Achieve monthly revenue goals through membership sign-ups, retention, and sales of class packages, private training sessions, equipment, and retail items.
• Create and maintain a motivated, high-achieving team aligned with the company’s core mission and values.
• Oversee entire employee lifecycle including hiring, scheduling, goal-setting, and conducting performance reviews on a daily to quarterly basis.
• Coordinate and supervise ongoing employee training to ensure proficiency in sales, club operations, fitness standards, and brand policies.
• Collaborate regularly with Regional Leadership and Corporate to manage the sales funnel including prospecting, lead generation, visitor engagement, marketing events, and member acquisition.
• Develop and sustain a vibrant, community-centered club culture that maximizes member satisfaction and profitability.
• Direct all club operations and oversee member engagement strategies.
• Ensure the club premises are clean, welcoming, and well-maintained.
• Manage employee interviewing, onboarding, scheduling, and payroll processes from the start.
• Comply with all operational policies and ensure adherence to state and federal employment laws.
• Track and exceed company key performance indicators through routine reporting.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of managerial experience involving supervision, direction, and coaching of teams.
• Proficient in analyzing trend reports and comfortable working with numbers and ratios.
• Strong interpersonal skills and dedication to excellent customer service.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including communication with clients and team members via various channels with a friendly approach.
• Fitness enthusiasm and some boxing experience are advantages but not mandatory.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• College degree is highly preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is desirable.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary between $60,000 and $70,000 plus monthly performance bonuses.
