General Foreperson

Overview

An established main contractor is looking for an experienced General Foreperson to join their team for major construction projects throughout Cork, including key developments in the city centre and Carrigtwohill. This role involves leading site activities to ensure projects are effectively completed with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all daily site operations and construction activities.
• Supervise subcontractors, tradespeople, and site workers to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Ensure that all work aligns with project schedules, quality criteria, and safety protocols.
• Track progress and provide regular updates to the Site Management team.
• Organize the logistics of materials, workforce, and other resources for smooth project delivery.
• Uphold stringent health, safety, and quality standards on site.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a General Foreman, Site Foreman, or Senior Foreman in the construction industry.
• Solid background in managing projects with main or specialist contractors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques, project sequencing, and site coordination.
• Strong leadership capabilities along with effective communication skills for managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Dedication to maintaining health, safety, and quality excellence on site.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a salary range from 65,000 to 75,000 annually, dependent on experience, along with additional benefits.

The role is based on-site in Cork, County Cork, Ireland.
