General Assistant (Cleaning Team)

Role Overview

We are seeking a General Assistant for our cleaning team to uphold exceptional hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the gym, including workout areas, changing rooms, and communal spaces. This part-time role requires approximately 20 hours per week and is ideal for detail-oriented, dependable individuals passionate about contributing to a positive gym environment.

Primary Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of gym floors, equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers, and communal areas.
• Sanitize and disinfect surfaces to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Dispose of waste by emptying bins and replacing liners according to proper protocols.
• Monitor cleaning inventory and alert management when supplies are low.
• Collaborate with the gym team to ensure an outstanding member experience.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to the management team.
• Consistently maintain Everlast Gyms’ hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

• Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial tasks is advantageous but not mandatory; full training will be provided.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
• Basic understanding of cleaning methods, sanitation, and safe use of chemicals; training available if necessary.
• Effective time management skills with the capability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in alignment with gym operations.
