Functional Business Analyst (12-month Contract)

About the Role

This opportunity involves serving as a Functional Business Analyst on a 12-month contract basis with a Singapore-based insurance organization. The candidate will act as a bridge between IT teams and business stakeholders to enhance processes and ensure compliance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze product and functional specifications alongside operational materials to identify system gaps and recommend process enhancements.
• Collaborate with business users to capture, clarify, and document requirements, facilitating workshops and meetings to gather necessary information.
• Ensure all changes adhere strictly to risk management and compliance protocols.
• Assess feasibility, benefits, and risks of proposed IT solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.
• Develop test scopes, create test plans, and actively participate in user acceptance testing, documenting all outcomes meticulously.
• Prepare user guides and deliver training sessions to operational teams following new system deployments.

Qualifications and Skills

• A degree in Information Technology or Business Information Systems is required.
• Between 2 to 5 years experience in business analysis and user acceptance testing, preferably within the insurance sector. Experience in insurance operations and processing is also valued.
• Strong project management capabilities, especially in planning and executing user acceptance testing.
• Up-to-date knowledge and application of current technologies.
• Proactive, resourceful, and effective at engaging stakeholders across diverse business units.
• Self-driven with robust analytical skills, detail orientation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work standards.
• Exceptional communication—both oral and written—and adept at conflict resolution and interpersonal consultation.
• Ability to multitask effectively and perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
