Role Overview

The Keyholder role supports consistent excellence in store operations, enabling valuable customer interactions. Keyholders recommend products and services that promote the health and playfulness of pets, share responsibility for driving profitability, and represent the store within the community. They embody and promote the company's Core Beliefs: Safety, Compassion, Expertise, and Efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate as cashier and assist customers with sales.
• Prepare merchandise orders, handle banking, and other related paperwork.
• Stock small items (under 10 lbs) including pet and household supplies on the sales floor.
• Maintain store cleanliness through sweeping, dusting, and general upkeep.
• Help unload deliveries weighing up to 50 lbs and stock them appropriately.
• Open and close the store in line with company procedures.
• Assign daily goals and tasks to Assistant Customer Experts (ACEs) when management is absent.
• Perform other duties as required by the store's operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience in retail or customer service roles.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
• Physical capacity to lift items up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.
• Possession of a valid driver's license may be needed.
