Role Overview
This role sits at the intersection of backend engineering, full-stack development, and data-enabled application delivery. You will create and support production applications used across investment, distribution, and other business areas, with a strong focus on Python-based backend services and cloud deployment in Azure.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and support production-ready full-stack applications for areas such as investments and distribution.
- Build backend APIs and services using Python and modern development frameworks.
- Create front-end user interfaces and components for internal business users.
- Work across the stack with particular depth in backend engineering and data-centric systems.
- Deploy, run, and maintain applications in Azure using current engineering best practices.
- Connect data from internal platforms, analytics systems, and distribution tools.
- Design solutions that comply with security, regulatory, and operational expectations in financial services.
- Partner with engineers, data specialists, and business teams to deliver scalable products.
- Support CI/CD workflows, testing, and production operations.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience shipping and operating production software, rather than research or experimental work.
- Strong backend development background with Python.
- Experience building full-stack applications, including modern front-end frameworks such as React or similar tools.
- Experience developing APIs and working with relational databases and SQL.
- Experience deploying applications to cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services, banking, insurance, fintech, or comparable sectors.
- Proven ability to deliver AI solutions that produce measurable business value.
- Practical experience with machine learning methods and productionizing AI models.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data-driven applications or close collaboration with data science teams.
- Background supporting sales, marketing, or client-facing platforms.
- Familiarity with analytics or distribution data in investment or financial services environments.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected base pay for this position is approximately USD 140,000 to USD 180,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, certifications, licenses, and relevant skills. The overall package also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
