Role Overview
This fully remote, full-time contractor position demands a cross-functional leader to work closely with the Founder, operating as a trusted partner. The role spans business operations, product delivery, people management, finance, compliance, strategic partnerships, and execution, driving actionable priorities and scalable processes to sustain rapid growth while ensuring operational agility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operational management and maintain clear oversight on projects, priorities, and risks.
- Facilitate thorough communication and documentation of decisions.
- Implement structured yet flexible operational frameworks to enhance discipline.
- Oversee people operations, including HR administration, onboarding, performance review, and growing scalable employee processes.
- Coordinate coordination and readiness across product and engineering teams for launches, partner integration, and delivery milestones.
- Support commercial partnerships and growth initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration between product, commercial, and operations teams.
- Translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical operational procedures, identify risks, and uphold governance and compliance.
- Manage financial coordination including budgets, invoices, supplier relationships, and liaise with finance stakeholders.
- Drive operational efficiency by leveraging AI and automation tools to optimize workflows and continually improve internal systems.

The ideal candidate embodies a founder's mindset, taking ownership with accountability and independent initiative. They bring 5-8 years of relevant experience in operations or strategy within high-growth startups or scaling businesses, working directly with founders and senior leadership. The role requires agility across multiple functions, execution focus, calmness under pressure, team leadership, and a proactive approach to enhancing processes through AI and automation.
Milestones for Success
- Within 30 days: Obtain comprehensive insight into operational priorities and cultivate working relations with leadership.
- Within 60 days: Independently address operational challenges and initiate process improvements.
- Within 90 days: Establish trust as an operational leader, expand leadership capabilities, and reinforce governance.
- Within 6 months: Build scalable systems reducing founder dependency and embed AI-driven workflows.
- Within 12 months: Create robust operational infrastructure that supports sustainable growth and partner strategically with leadership.
