Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forensic Psychiatrist to join the Mental Health and Specialist Services in Gold Coast, Queensland. This role involves delivering expert psychiatric care within the Forensic Service (REACH), fostering a culture of medical education, and ensuring patient-centred, safe clinical practices. The position requires participation in an after-hours and on-call roster.

Qualifications and Registration
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent qualifications from the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA (ABPN certified), or New Zealand.
- Applicants with MRCPsych and a Certificate of Completion of Training (post-2007) may qualify for the expedited specialist registration pathway introduced in December 2024.
- For applicants not eligible for the expedited pathway, the standard or accelerated specialist registration pathways remain available.
