Project Overview and Role Summary

Join our team as a Structures Foreman overseeing the West Apron Vehicle Underpass project at Dublin Airport. You will lead daily supervision and manage structural construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to schedules amidst active airport conditions. You will report directly to the Site Agent – Structures, coordinating site crews and subcontractors effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise site teams and subcontractors on structural tasks including reinforced concrete, formwork, steel fixing, and concrete pours.
• Organise daily work plans aligned with short-term programmes and site goals.
• Efficiently allocate labour, equipment, and materials to meet project deadlines.
• Coordinate with other trades and departments to ensure smooth progression.
• Implement and monitor strict health, safety, and environmental protocols according to site and airport standards.
• Conduct daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and inspections to maintain high safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with all method statements, risk assessments, airside permits, and safety rules.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in work zones.
• Oversee quality assurance by verifying that structural work meets drawings, specifications, and testing procedures.
• Assist with pre-inspections, snagging, and remediation of any defects or non-conformances.
• Track work progress against schedules; identify and report delays or resource limitations.
• Support planning for recovery and resequencing of structural work when necessary.
• Keep comprehensive daily records including site diaries and resource reports.
• Collaborate with site management, subcontractors, suppliers, and logistics teams to ensure project coordination.
• Participate in planning and coordination meetings as needed.
• Manage documentation related to permits, inspections, handovers, and snag resolution.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Legal eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
• Willingness to undergo a 5-year background check.
• Extensive trade experience, particularly as a Structures Foreman or Chargehand.
• Demonstrated expertise in reinforced concrete and structural construction.
• Proven skills supervising direct labour and subcontracted teams.
• Possession of a valid Safe Pass and capacity to obtain airport security clearance.
• CSCS Supervisor or Safety Supervisor certification, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of structural construction techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, method statements, and manage sequencing.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and safety awareness abilities.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience working in airport or similarly high-security, active environments.
• Background in large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
