About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to oversee the financial operations of a manufacturing facility and contribute to sustainable business growth. This senior position requires a finance professional skilled in both strategic planning and hands-on execution. You will collaborate closely with the Board and operational leaders to enhance financial outcomes, mitigate risks, and convert financial data into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute long-range financial strategies aligned with factory activities, focusing on optimizing capital deployment and investment decisions.
- Implement cost management initiatives to enhance profit margins by analyzing production expenses, overhead costs, and raw material spending.
- Manage financial aspects of manufacturing and supply chain operations including working capital, inventory control, and procurement costs.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry regulations while developing strategies to manage financial and operational risks.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust factory budgets and accurate financial forecasts responsive to market and demand changes.
- Utilize financial analytics and key performance indicators to boost operational efficiency; oversee ERP implementation for real-time financial tracking.
- Maintain robust cash flow to support factory functions and effectively manage debt, financing, and capital investment activities.
- Lead, mentor, and build the finance team within the manufacturing environment; work collaboratively with operations, supply chain, and production managers.
- Drive adoption of digital technologies, including automation and AI tools, that enhance finance operations and reduce costs.
- Provide clear financial reporting and insights to executives and board members; cultivate relationships with investors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
Experience and Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional credentials such as CA(SA), ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification.
- Between 8 and 15 years of pertinent financial experience with over 5 years in leadership positions.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, production cost structures, and supply chain financial flows.
- Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, compliance, and financial reporting practices.
- Experienced with ERP systems and skilled in interpreting financial data analytics.
