Role Overview
As the Finance Lead, you will take full responsibility for the finance function within this expanding pharmaceutical enterprise, collaborating closely with senior leadership to support the ensuing growth phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile monthly management accounts and prepare comprehensive financial reports
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities
- Deliver financial analysis and commercial insights to inform strategic decision-making
- Design and implement finance processes, controls, and policies
- Manage treasury functions and working capital necessities
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations
- Partner effectively with operational and commercial departments
- Engage with external auditors, tax professionals, and other stakeholders
- Contribute to strategic initiatives including financial modeling and growth projects
- Play a critical role in establishing a scalable finance infrastructure as the business expands
Who You Are
Ideal candidates are current Financial Controllers or Senior Finance Managers ready for leadership, combining robust technical financial knowledge with a commercial perspective. You are adept at working with senior stakeholders, providing strategic support, and facilitating growth in dynamic environments.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience as Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or Senior Finance professional
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Background in fast-paced or scaling businesses
- Ability to influence business decisions using commercial insight
- Experience enhancing finance processes, controls, and reporting frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Hands-on yet strategic operational approach
- Confident working independently and establishing foundational processes
- Preferably experience in pharma, healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated sectors
- Motivated to grow with the company and assume increasing responsibilities
