Financial Controller

Role Overview

The Financial Controller will oversee both internal and external financial reporting activities on a weekly and monthly schedule, along with the preparation of detailed sales reports tailored to internal and Group requirements. This position involves analyzing promotional and trade investments across products and customers, participating in month-end closing processes, and ensuring precise reporting of trade programs and accruals. Additional duties include assisting in budget and forecast development, handling documentation workflows, and supporting audit procedures to meet company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the financial planning cycle, including annual budget preparation aligned with company goals and guidelines.
• Collaborate with various departments to consolidate inputs, updating forecasts continuously to reflect performance and highlight financial risks and opportunities.
• Manage monthly financial reporting, delivering accurate data on time and performing detailed analyses by brand, SKU, customer, and business line.
• Oversee month-end closing activities to ensure timely completion and data integrity.
• Conduct financial evaluations related to new products, customer strategies, and channel performance to support sound business decisions.
• Analyze the return on investment for trade and promotional activities to optimize resource allocation and meet profitability targets.
• Support trade program accrual accounting and prepare adjusting journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.
• Contribute to cost-center analysis and financial tracking across operations.
• Prepare documentation and assist in internal and external audits to uphold regulatory compliance and adherence to Group policies.
• Monitor trade programs and customer/channel performance, focusing on revenue and gross margin trends, and provide actionable business insights to management.

Candidate Profile

• Three to five years experience in Financial Controlling, particularly within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
• Strong analytical skills, capable of handling complex data to evaluate performance and facilitate business decisions.
• Well-versed in accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Collaborative approach with attention to detail, able to prioritize and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
