Finance Director - Private Equity

Role Overview

This senior leadership position involves establishing and managing financial infrastructure, governance, and commercial performance frameworks supporting a rapidly expanding portfolio with multiple asset types under a private equity firm. The Finance Director will have comprehensive responsibility over a diverse asset portfolio and must navigate both strategic and operational finance functions effectively.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and enforce comprehensive financial controls, governance frameworks, and standardized reporting across various operating entities.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning for the portfolio of operating assets.
• Oversee financial management for new asset launches, including their ramp-up and operational stabilization phases.
• Recruit, develop, and direct a high-performing finance team dedicated to the operating assets division.
• Act as a vital financial advisor to executive leadership, providing insights on revenue enhancement, cost controls, and capital utilization efficiency.
• Contribute to preparing investment committee documentation, board-level reporting, and presentations pertinent to portfolio performance.
• Promote financial process standardization and improvements in systems across an expanding and diverse asset base.

Experience and Skill Requirements

• Significant senior finance leadership experience managing complex or multi-entity operational portfolios.
• Strong expertise in financial controls, governance, and reporting tailored for multiple legal and operational structures.
• Proven leadership in directing large-scale budgeting and long-term financial planning cycles.
• Practical experience managing financial aspects related to asset launches including ramp-up and stabilization.
• Demonstrated ability to build and guide high-caliber finance teams.
