Job Summary
The Finance Coordinator will provide vital support to the Finance Department by ensuring precise handling of financial transactions, maintaining thorough financial records, generating reports, and managing day-to-day finance and administrative operations. This role includes involvement in budgeting, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to company financial policies with strict accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Process various financial documents such as invoices, purchase orders, expense claims, and requests for payment.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate financial records accompanied by proper documentation.
- Verify and ensure financial transactions are compliant and precise according to company standards.
- Prepare financial reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Conduct reconciliations including bank, supplier, and account statements.
- Track outstanding payments and pursue overdue balances diligently.
- Support the closing processes at month-end and year-end.
- Monitor departmental budgets, controlling costs by tracking expenses and noting variances.
- Generate financial summaries and reports for managerial review.
- Organize financial documentation through effective filing systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams regarding approvals and financial inquiries.
- Assist audit processes by collating necessary records.
- Maintain compliance with established financial policies and local regulatory requirements.
- Safeguard confidential financial information with utmost integrity.
- Help implement internal controls and finance procedures to strengthen compliance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in finance, accounting, or a related administrative role is desirable.
- Hospitality sector experience is considered an advantage.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting methodologies.
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
- Trustworthy in handling sensitive financial data confidentially.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of prioritizing workload to meet strict deadlines.
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with preparing financial statements and reconciliations.
- Experience managing invoice processing and payment workflows.
