Role Overview

This full-time remote position as a Field Service Technician entails traveling to customer sites to execute portable machining, millwright, and mechanical duties. Key responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery, conducting precise measurements, and ensuring all activities comply with safety and quality protocols. The technician will troubleshoot mechanical problems, interpret technical drawings and specifications, and maintain detailed service documentation. Coordination with clients and internal teams for work planning, equipment upkeep, and adherence to safety and process guidelines is also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in the mechanical repair, installation, and upkeep of industrial equipment.
• Skilled in portable machining techniques and competent in the use of hand and power tools.
• Sound knowledge of millwright practices, including alignment, rigging, and precision measurement skills.
• Able to read and understand technical schematics, drawings, and instructions.
• Committed to safe, high-quality, and efficient work practices in an industrial environment.
• Effective problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve mechanical issues onsite.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and readiness to travel to various remote industrial sites regularly.
• Possession of technical or trade certification in millwright, industrial mechanics, or related fields is advantageous.
• Physically capable of performing field duties including lifting, climbing, and standing for long durations.
