About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to manage maintenance and repairs of medical devices within Tuscany. This role involves ensuring strict adherence to quality and manufacturer standards while offering both technical support and detailed documentation for internal teams and external customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Repair and conduct inspections on Stryker's electronic and mechanical medical products, including hospital beds, ambulance and hospital stretchers, and defibrillators.
- Carry out annual inspections and calibrations at customer locations in compliance with Medical Device Regulation (MDR) requirements.
- Utilize appropriate software tools to document, archive, and retrieve technical activity reports.
- Support quality assurance initiatives, including product recalls and safety alerts, collaborating with customers and the Quality Department.
- Fulfill service agreements through scheduled maintenance visits.
- Deliver technical training for both internal staff and external users.
- Install Stryker equipment on-site at customer facilities.
- Conduct software and hardware upgrades as needed.
- Offer technical support to the sales team and customers, ensuring thorough and precise service records.
- Manage billing procedures for services rendered and contribute towards sales objectives.
- Track all deployed Stryker products accurately through reporting systems.
- Maintain exceptional follow-up and resolution for customer issues.
- Coordinate customer appointments alongside sales and customer service teams.
Working Environment
- Work locations include hospital floors, manufacturing shops, and various customer sites.
- Regular interaction with hospital and clinical engineering staff, procurement teams, and maintenance personnel is required.
- Role requires frequent travel within the designated region, with travel expenses reimbursed according to company policies.
- Participation in team meetings and occasional presentations to support team development.
- The position is primarily field-based with approximately 80% travel; the remaining time is remote or home-based.
