Overview
The FHE Superintendent oversees every aspect of the fuels program at the site, ensuring full adherence to the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and relevant USAF mandates. Collaborating closely with the Fuels Functional Manager, this role aims to devise strategic plans and apply procedures that boost operational efficiency and enhance client satisfaction. Compliance with both the PWS and Amentum's ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) is imperative.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all Fuels personnel effectively.
- Set priorities for the Fuels workforce to ensure operational goals are met.
- Coordinate Fuels support needs with management and other departments.
- Evaluate and implement Fuels reconstitution objectives; ensure all required inspections are completed on schedule.
- Gather data and produce reports concerning Fuels assets, inspections, inventories, and storage.
- Detect deficiencies in assets and file Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) as necessary.
- Engage in Quality Corrective Action Working Groups to formulate and update corrective/preventive measures in the QMS after audits.
- Submit data related to Periodic Maintenance Inspection, Reconstitution, and man-hours as requested.
- Ensure timesheet accuracy and authorize overtime only when justified.
- Confirm that technical inspections and functional checks comply with all technical documents before shipping Fuels assets.
- Conduct timely employee performance evaluations adhering to deadlines.
- Verify Fuels training meets job requirements and maintain updated training records.
- Review and monitor parts and materials orders for timely receipt.
- Manage accountability for bulk fuel used in site generators and vehicles.
- Approve the monthly USG fuels receipt submissions after careful review.
- Carry out other duties and travel assignments as directed by management.
- Operate in office, maintenance shop, warehouse environments, and potentially outdoors for extended periods.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency with personal computers and Windows OS, including Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Possess a valid driving license from home country and ability to secure a local host nation driver’s license.
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- Minimum five years of supervisory experience in USAF or equivalent US Service Fuels operations.
- Thorough knowledge of USAF or equivalent US Service Fuels procedures and regulations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US citizenship required).
- Willingness to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work safely in environments with noise and physical demands—including lifting/pushing/pulling at least 50 lbs.
- Availability and capability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing a diverse international workforce.
- Preferably ten years of USAF or US Service equivalent supervisory background.
- Refueling Maintenance expertise.
- Completion of Fuels Apprentice Course or US Service counterpart.
- Possession of FORCE Course Certificate or willingness to attend it within 12 months of hire.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation package ranges from $65,000 to $71,000 overall. Actual pay may differ based on specific job duties, education, experience, and market conditions.
