Feed Mill Worker

About the Role

Join Sollio Agriculture at our Truro Feed Mill as a full-time, permanent Feed Mill Worker. This role involves operating machinery, handling products, and supporting shipping logistics in a safety-oriented team environment. Candidates must be adaptable to varying shifts, including nights, and have physical capability for heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Operate feed mill equipment efficiently and safely.
• Mix and weigh products as required.
• Regularly load and unload shipments involving repetitive heavy lifting and use equipment such as forklifts or lift trucks.
• Collaborate with the team to uphold stringent safety and quality standards following company standard operating procedures and practices.

Requirements

• Physically capable of lifting 25 kg repeatedly.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• High attention to detail in all tasks.
• Knowledge of safe work and lifting practices.
• Comfortable working at heights, including ladders with safety railings.
• Able to work in environments with dust.

Working Conditions

Shift schedules include 6:45am-2:45pm, 2:45pm-10:45pm, and 10:45pm-6:45am. Flexible availability including night shifts is required. The worksite is located at 349 Willow Street, Truro, Nova Scotia, B2N 5A6.

• Starting hourly wage of $25.12.
