F&B Service Expert - Crossroads Cafe (Contract)

About the Role

At Marriott International's Crossroads Cafe in Singapore, we aim to create more than just meals; we craft memorable dining experiences. As an F&B Service Expert, you will actively provide a broad range of services that ensure guests have a pleasant and unique visit. Your duties will span from setting tables and liaising with kitchen staff to guest interaction, serving, and maintaining clean work areas.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure safety by reporting incidents promptly, adhering to safety policies, and using protective equipment appropriately.
• Follow company protocols including maintaining confidentiality, protecting assets, and upholding a professional appearance.
• Engage guests warmly by welcoming, anticipating needs, responding to questions or concerns, and providing genuine appreciation and farewell.
• Communicate effectively and discreetly with colleagues and guests using professional language.
• Foster teamwork by supporting coworkers and maintaining positive relations across departments.
• Maintain high-quality standards in service delivery, food and beverage presentation, and cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Perform physical tasks typical of F&B service such as lifting items up to 25 pounds alone or heavier with assistance, standing for long periods, and navigating variable surfaces.
• Handle table setups for various events, assist in banquet service, manage beverage and coffee carts, and support in-room dining operations including order taking and delivery.
• Handle cash and bank procedures accurately, following accounting and security protocols.
• Complete closing duties including cleaning, restocking, securing equipment, and locking venues.

Job Requirements

• Possess at least a Professional Certificate or NiTEC in any discipline.
• Prior experience in Food and Beverage is advantageous but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Positive, outgoing attitude and readiness to begin work on short notice.
• Flexibility to be assigned to any F&B outlet within the hotel.

This position is based at 320 Orchard Road, Singapore, and requires onsite attendance, working full-time under a contract employment type.
