Role Overview
The Event Medical Manager is tasked with organizing and overseeing the medical provisions necessary for a variety of events, ensuring safe, effective medical support and risk management to protect attendees, staff, and participants.
Key Duties
- Coordinate and deliver medical coverage for events ranging from intimate gatherings to large public occasions.
- Conduct thorough risk evaluations to determine appropriate medical staffing and resourcing.
- Lead and support diverse clinical teams including paramedics, nurses, EMTs, and first aid responders.
- Serve as the primary medical liaison for event organizers and related stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with emergency services, local officials, and venue authorities.
- Develop detailed medical response strategies, including major incident and contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, health and safety laws, and relevant industry standards.
- Manage medical equipment, vehicles, and supplies, maintaining their readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise on-site medical activities and provide intervention during incidents.
- Prepare comprehensive post-event reports analyzing incidents and recommending improvements.
Candidate Requirements
- At least two years' experience in operational management roles.
- Proven leadership and sound decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication.
- Capability to stay composed and efficient under pressure.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Meticulous attention to detail and aptitude for multitasking.
- In-depth knowledge of event safety protocols and clinical governance.
- Possession of a full driving license.
- Relevant healthcare qualification is essential.
