Job Overview

The Estimator role at Liberty Aluminum Co. based in Fort Myers, FL, involves producing accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial projects. This position requires close collaboration with leadership and customers to build trusted relationships and increase sales. The estimator will also remain informed about industry trends and participate in local BIA and trade events to identify market opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and project details to quantify materials, labor, and overall scope accurately.
• Develop competitive, detailed estimates and proposals while identifying scope gaps and appropriate pricing considerations.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers and builders to follow up on bids and support winning projects.
• Collaborate with sales, CAD, project management, and operations teams to ensure smooth project progression.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum three years of estimating experience within Florida’s construction industry, preferably with commercial projects.
• Background in estimating aluminum, metal, or related construction products is advantageous.
• Capability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Comprehensive knowledge of commercial construction codes and market standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, reflecting professional representation.
• Valid driver's license with physical ability to access various job site locations including rooftops, ladders, and lifts.
• Strong familiarity with OSHA safety standards and dedication to safety compliance.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening as part of employment conditions.
