Role Overview

The Construction Estimator position requires comprehensive understanding of the building industry, encompassing full construction cycle experience. This role entails functioning as a sales professional with in-depth industry knowledge to deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce precise cost estimates and gather contractor quotes for both residential and commercial projects.
• Formulate multiple alternative project plans and schedules.
• Develop budgets based on preconstruction design details.
• Collect and manage relevant documents including property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications.
• Define project scopes and participate in preconstruction meetings to devise bidding strategies.
• Calculate all labor, material, scheduling, and other elements necessary for comprehensive project estimations.
• Monitor and coordinate estimating department priorities across all internal teams.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Generate material quotations using BisTrack adhering to established procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Between 3 to 5 years of experience as a construction estimator, including labor, materials, and trades quoting for residential and commercial sectors.
• Post-secondary education related to construction is advantageous.
• Understanding of the building envelope pertinent to residential and commercial construction.
• Ability to accurately read, interpret, and analyze drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail paired with proficient mathematical, technical, and calculation competencies.
• Exceptional quantitative analytical capabilities.
• Reliable, meticulous, conscientious, and effective communicator.
• Familiarity with BisTrack and Procore software is considered a plus.
