About the Role
Churches of Christ Queensland is seeking committed Environmental Service Workers to join the team at Fair Haven Service, a 78-bed Residential Aged Care facility located in Hervey Bay, Urraween. This opportunity involves assisting the kitchen staff with meal preparation and service, maintaining cleanliness in dining and communal areas, and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment in and around the kitchen.
Primary Duties
- Cleaning of residents' rooms and shared areas
- Handling laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linen
- Supporting meal preparation and food service in the kitchen
- Setting up and packing down the dining area
- Adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborating with team members to maintain smooth operations
Candidate Profile
- Dependable, positive attitude, and team player
- Experience in cleaning, laundry, hospitality, or kitchen hand roles; experience in aged care is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and function well within a team environment
- Willingness to work varied shifts including day, afternoon, and night
- Must have valid Australian work rights; sponsorship is not available
