Role Overview

The Entry-Level Scientist will contribute to the in vivo scientific team by executing experiments as per protocols and SOPs, supporting research projects with minimal supervision, and maintaining rigorous documentation. This role involves preparation of test solutions, dosing, monitoring biological responses, conducting necropsies, and specimen collection including blood, urine, fecal, and tissues, while adhering to laboratory safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and perform experiments following established protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Efficiently complete assigned tasks with minimal oversight throughout project lifecycles.
• Prepare test compounds and diets precisely according to specified guidelines.
• Administer dosing, monitor subject responses, execute necropsies, and collect various biological specimens reliably and according to SOPs.
• Maintain detailed and accurate experimental records consistent with good laboratory practices.
• Contribute to drafting scientific reports.
• Comply strictly with all safety protocols, including proficiency in respirator use.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory animal medicine, toxicology, animal science, biology, or a related field preferred; alternatively, relevant industry experience equating two years to one full-time college year is acceptable.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without sponsorship or restrictions.
• Practical experience handling laboratory rats or mice is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated strong scientific, computer, communication, and organizational skills.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively with a proactive, adaptable, and positive approach.
• Willingness and ability to learn innovative methods, multitask effectively, maintain precise records, follow instructions, and uphold company policies.

Additional Details

This is a full-time position with work hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, ideally suited to candidates living within commuting distance to South Brunswick, NJ.

The compensation ranges from $21 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.
