Position Summary

We are seeking an Engineer with a part-time qualification path towards becoming a District Manager for Maintenance at DB InfraGO AG, based in Stralsund. This role involves a structured development program over approximately 3 to 3.5 years, including on-the-job training and seminars tailored to your existing qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a binding development agreement through the Engineer Qualification Pool, initially qualifying over 2 to 2.5 years as a Railway Construction Supervisor, followed by about one year as a District Manager for Signaling and Control Technology.
  • Follow an individual qualification plan aligned with your prior experience that facilitates practical training alongside broadening your horizons and building extensive professional networks.
  • Attend qualification seminars close to your place of residence whenever feasible, while practical training takes place within the Neustrelitz network team.
  • As District Manager for Signaling and Control Technology (LST), oversee infrastructure in your district, including electronic interlockings, ensuring safe, punctual, and economical rail traffic.
  • Maintain responsibility for the functionality and safety of assigned facilities, ensuring maintenance meets demand and requirements, and commissioning and supervising construction tasks within your district.
  • Lead the technical and disciplinary supervision of your district's employees, manage budget responsibility, and contribute to cost center and staffing planning.
  • Manage safety oversight and security planning for yourself and assigned staff, acting as an emergency manager if necessary.
  • Conduct facility inspections, evaluate and document findings, and initiate follow-up actions as required.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed technical or university degree in electrical engineering, transport engineering, telecommunications, automation technology, or a comparable field.
  • Possess expertise in electronic control technology and/or signaling and control technology.
  • Knowledgeable about service phases of HOAI as well as VOB and VOL regulations, and other applicable legal requirements in construction.
  • Effective communicator able to assert positions while considering others' needs.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, assertiveness, resilience, self-initiation, and motivation to assume leadership roles.
  • Willingness to obtain the required qualifications for Railway Construction Supervisor and District Manager in Signaling and Control Technology roles.
  • Holder of a valid driver's license class B and medically fit as verified during the hiring process.

Applications are welcomed regardless of gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, unemployment duration, sexual orientation, or identity.
